Project in Portsmouth, at the Portsmouth Central Mosque. The Mosque was converted to include a first floor, thus enabling both male and females to attend Mosque simultaneously but separately.
The photographs depict the delivery and installation of the primary floor beams, weighing up to 1.25 tonnes each. The main contractor Lisbon PD Limited then constructed the first floor, following which BS Steels then removed the existing green wooden trusses and supplied and installed Structural Hollow Section frames in place of the timber, which were located into the ceiling line to provide adequate head room.
