BS Steels is proud to be involved with the continued development of the Old Thorns Manor Hotel, near Liphook in Hampshire.
Old Thorns is one of many examples of BS Steels’s work in the hotels, pubs and restaurants sector. From renovations of properties within demanding schedules to minimise disruption to existing business, to major projects such as the new-build Ham Yard Hotel, or the rebuilding of the iconic Ryde Castle Hotel, the common factor for success is a close partnership with contractors, engineers, architects and owners.
This partnership approach has been very much in evidence at Old Thorns, as we play our part in a most impressive transformation. Working for the owners, and with Roger Hill Architects, BS Steels provided the structural steel and services for construction of the wedding chapel, with reception area above. Old Thorns was voted the best all-inclusive wedding venue in Hampshire in both 2013 and 2014.
Our images show BS Steels’s current involvement with the design and installation of a new 500-seater ballroom, with sunken dance floor and upstairs function room, from 3D modelling and design by BS Steels’s engineers, through installation, and then with a view of the main structure in place.
Nor is that the end of the story. BS Steels is presently working on the design of a new 51-bedroom apartment block, adding yet another dimension to this truly impressive golf and country estate.
