BS Steels has remained busy throughout July, with a mixture of highways, refurb, architectural, new build and engineering works across London and Southern England, including the following:


M4 Boston Manor viaduct reopened mid-July after repairs. More detail on this exceptionally delicate and difficult operation to follow. Main contractors Osborne/Arup

New Build

Uckfield Medical Centre: for Reside Construction, columns and beams required to support first floor.

Architectural Metalwork

Two stainless steel staircases and stainless steel balustrading for J Coffey, Shoreditch High Street, London.

Refurb and Extension projects

South block, The Water Gardens, Burwood Place, London W2: refurbishment of sheet metal work on doors, etc, for J Coffey contractors

2, 3, 3A Park St, Windsor: demolition of existing, and installation of new floor plan layout for Whistler Construction Ltd.

Ferryspeed Portsmouth, Polarkold Ltd: extended mezzanine floor to add a further 20,000 ft2 storage area.

Greig City Academy, Hornsea: roofing and sheet metal works, following earlier works on support structure and escape tower.

Blackheath, London: assisted contractor J Coffey with temporary shoring to facilitate moving of walls, installed support structure in their place.
